Dr. Matthew Damin is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Kentucky Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Damin graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Chemistry. He worked in research at Owensboro Health Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center until he started Dental School at the University of Louisville where he received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree. From there Dr. Damin went on to Indiana University’s James Whitcomb Riley Children’s Hospital for his Pediatric Residency where he received a Master’s of Science in Dentistry with a minor in Psychology.
Dr. Damin is passionate about Pediatric Dentistry and being able to watch his patients grow and the impact that he is able to make on these patients and their families. His goal is to create a happy and warm environment so that children enjoy going to the dentist. He emphasizes establishing an encouraging relationship with his patients from an early age to educate them on the importance of oral health.
He was born and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky, and fell in love with the Bowling Green community while attending Western Kentucky University. After completing his residency at Riley Children’s in Indianapolis, he returned to Bowling Green where he met his wife, Amie, and began his career in pediatric dentistry. In his free time Dr. Damin enjoys spending time with his family and woodworking.

Our office will do its best to schedule appointments at your convenience. We find that young or anxious children have a better experience in the morning. At this time of day, children are well rested, refreshed, and more cooperative.
School-aged children can be scheduled throughout the day for routine visits. Sedation appointments are only scheduled in the morning. We would appreciate a 48 hour cancellation notice.
Payment for professional services is due at the time dental treatment is provided. This includes deductibles and co-insurance. We accept cash, personal checks,
and most major credit cards.
We create an individualized treatment plan for all patients. Our treatment coordinator will review the recommended treatment and the estimation of your dental insurance reimbursement.

We, along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommend you bring your child in by his or her first birthday.
During your first visit, you will be introduced to our Pediatric Dental Team, given an office tour and discuss your child’s unique smile and ways to keep it beautiful for years to come.
Depending on the age of your child, he or she will either be given a knee-to-knee examination (where your baby’s head will rest on our doctor’s knee while their body is on your lap) or a regular exam in the doctor’s chair.
We request that you complete our First Visit Forms prior to arriving for your appointment. This helps our office keep your and everyone else’s scheduled visit on time.
Your initial exam will last approximately 1 hour. Oral hygiene instructions will also be given with suggestions to help your child care for their own teeth. In most cases, we will also clean their teeth on this visit, and provide an evaluation that will outline any existing dental problems and proposed treatment.
Dr. Matthew is a pediatric dentist, specializing in the treatment and prevention of dental disease, as well as the overall oral health of children. Through extra years of schooling, training, experience, and certification, a pediatric dentist is uniquely qualified to treat the dental needs of infants, children, and adolescents.
